I have been in the game for three weeks now. I need to know how to go about getting a job that will pay my avatar a resonable amount of L$. I am against my avatar stirpping for a living. so to let you know. Also need help with finding free skins and a Landlord that has reasonable rules.

Most free hair and skin deals for newbies are restricted to the first 30 days. I have a folder of some landmarks and info that I will drop you - you need to act fast if you have already been here 3 weeks.

Presuming you have a 'real life' income, there is nothing comparable to just buying $L - it is *the* most efficient way to make it, period.

There is satisfaction in having a shop or something of course, but at three weeks old you'll have a rough time unless you are in the top 0.1% of all new residents in terms of skills.

Gentle recommendation: get maybe a 1 year premium membership (yeah THAT!) which will cost 72 USD but return $L 300 a week I think.

If it's $L 300/w that's roughly 60 USD worth of $L, plus, you'll have 512m of mainland tier (of course you'll have to buy 512m of mainland). Lean pickings, but paying 72 to gain 60 is a net cost of 12 dollars - not terrible, plus you get some tier.

* * * * *

Landlords... at three weeks in... two ways to think about it.

First way: don't rent *anything* yet. Be cautious. It's not so much the landlord, but the neighbours sometimes. Second thing, even if the rules are reasonable, look at actual *adherence* to the rules, and enforcement. You might find great rules... managed by a 19 year old landlord with a god complex and no respect for rules.

Second way: rent small, rent a week at a time, rent with no up-front fee, rent as if the parcel were going to vanish under your feet tomorrow. Jump from estate to estate until happy. Watch what happens to your neighbours - the neighbours that aren't the landlord's real life girlfriend or brother.

Full disclosure: I'm one of those evil land barons. And I'm all full up with residents, so, not really an option for you. But good luck with your second life :)

Yup, like some already say, buy your Linden Dollars.

If you want to be safe, just buy them through the SL main bank service.
Click on your $L xxxx and set up a trusted payment method. It's good, easy, and SL won't hate you for buying money though scammy services.

You do need a creditcard or paypal for it.

But don't camp for money, it's useless and slow.

Clubs hire several kinds of people usually.
And if you are creative, build stuff, and sell that.

You can also become a reseller from various stores, to take their items, and resell with profit.
It's easier :P Many allow it, and have programs to that.

I would love to become a reseller for a few stores, just to help them out with their insanely good items. We need to help and support those that have eye for quality.

You can also donate your own made items to freebie houses, so newbies can have more than just that ridiculously boring outfit.

Clothes also make happy, and I'm not jst saying that because I'm a girl :P
