Hey everyone,
I was wondering if ATM's that do NOT offer interest are illegal in SL. Any answers would be great.

Since there are SLX ATM's out there, I'd say the answer would probably be yes.

Personally, I think ATMs are a product of a perverted mind. I mean, sticking it where the sun don't usually shine and then withdrawing it and THEN trying to consume it?!  |

The SLX ATM's are merely a means of transferring L$ funds to and from your personal spending account on the SLX Merchant website. They never were, and never claimed to be, a banking-type ATM. They are means of making payment possible for merchandise offered via the Internet. Only one person has access to those funds, and that is you. An ATM of that type is just fine. The same would go for "ATM's" run by various land management groups, for paying the rent on your parcels. Again, it is just a payment and information terminal. An ATM that is associated with any sort of claim that you deposit your funds there, *someone else has use of those funds*, and you benefit from it in the form of some sort of Interest income or the like would NOT be OK. If anyone other than the account holder has access to or use of the funds, without a specific command from the account holder for an authorized expendature, then I would say it is a bad idea.

People have had items disappear during SL borks, so if your bed disappears then your jam jar would be visible for all to see........ and who knows how long someone might intrude on your personal property while trying to figure out how to steal the jam jar from you.
