Hi... when i take snapshots i liek to have it set to 1024 x 768... i have recently noticed though that when i click the new snapshot button, what i see on the snapshot preview isnt exactly the same as what i see on my screen.. its slightly off for instance.. if i want to take a profile picture of a freind, on my screen, their whole head is in view, but on the snapshot preview, its as if the camera is looking at a different angle to me, the top part of the head is missing and more of the chest is showing.. i am sure its only been liek this for the last 2 updates, i dont rember it being liek this before... anyone else have this? is it something worng with my settings? can i fix it so what is on my screen is on my preview snapshot? its annopying, trying to line things up right when u cant really see it on ur screen the same btw.. i am using windlight if that makes any difference.... mind you, tried in normal viewer and it is still the same

Yes I noticed as well, and now snapshots can be huge. Not that concerning though considering snapshots sent to snapzilla for example are converted to jpg automatically I believe.

The "Hi-res Snapshot" function (under the "Advanced" menu) is broken in the 1.23.4 viewer.

From: Gary Glimmer I'm having this same problem with the newer clients, is there a fix for this? checked the forums but cant see anything. If you still want to take hi-res shots, you need to do what I did. It won't fix the issue, but it is a work-around. Take test shots until you find where the "borders" are of the picture. Then mark it. Make sure you have the subject of the picture within that border. Annoying as a lot of the screen ends up being covered. But it is possible to work around this problem. The other solution is to turn high resolution off, but I do not like the quality level of low resolution pictures that I've taken. 'Course my solution mentioned above doesn't work if you use preview. I use the Control ~ option that saves the picture directly to my computer without preview. Since I do that, I haven't tested to see if there is a way to "fix" preview.

Yup, problem with the newer viewers. And since GreenLife uses the code from the newer viewers as well ... the problem migrates.
I have my GL viewer for daily use, but when I book a photo session, I log in using an older version of the SL viewer, before the camera aim bug.

Best I can tell, the Snowglobe viewer does not have the bug.

Does anyone know offhand if there is a JIRA for this bug? Posting it here would be usefull so we can vote on it.

Is this it? https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SNOW-96May need to be moved from Snowglobe back to the main branch if it is being seen in 1.23.4. Looks like Rob Linden thinks it is fixed in 1.23.4. .

I have stayed with the v1.22.11 viewer and I have to say that after listening to all the problems people are having, there is nothing that will convince me to upgrade until LL stop this viewer working or provides a fixed post-v1.22 viewer.
I would consider uninstalling the current release and going back to this version.
