Group I own appears missing

Everyone,

Today I noticed the group I created and own is no longer listed in my groups list, and is not found by Groups Search. This group was deeded ownership of a private sim parcel, and currently only has one group member (me). If I click on Group Info on the General tab of About Land, the group does not show up either (just ???).

Is the group truly gone, or is this a temporary blip? And any way to check if the group still exists?

Btw, just checked, and I don't have permission as I had to do things like create objects and such.

You have to have atleast 2 people in a group otherwise it gets deleted.

If the sim was deeded to the deleted group, you need to get a hold of customer service ASAP to have it returned. As things stand at the moment, you no longer own it.

And before you deed any more land to a group, make sure you have an alt as a member as well so this never happens again.

Ok, thanks. Somehow I had the idea that Linden recently changed its policy to allow a group to have only one member. It took a couple weeks for this group to be deep sixed once it was reduced to one member.

Fortunately it is a parcel on a private sim and the sim owner is fixing it so it will be sold back to me for L$0 -- I should be able to do this in 1-2 days. I will re-create the group (if someone else does not beat me to it, probably best to wait until the transfer is complete) and have an alt-av as member #2. But I will not deed the parcel to the group.

You won't be able to use the same name again. Once it's been used, it's gone forever. Glad to hear the important part was easy to resolve, though.
