RANT MM board owner

Now im just soo tired with this..
I have an MM board
Yes it draws some costumers .. ok all well--
Im in some groups, and they all have different rules, not only this , these rules change all the time!
I send, or like to send one (1) uno Notice a day
and one chat spam..
I dont have time for more most of the time..
BUT now
All kinds of stupid rules .. no spaces only 3 lines, spam every hour, every 24 hour, one note 2 notes 4 notes an hour and so on.. and so on
We give these things away , most dont buy anything so, sigh and bare w me --
cant these just unite or something

Search a thread called "Advice on Sales" on the last page or so (40 posts per page) I posted a list of MM Groups. What I do is I keep a notebook wiht the names of all the groups I am in - I have two advertising alts to get around the stupid 25 group rule - I notate what groups have what rules and where i can post notices and where only chat- I have yet to be booted or even chastised for mis-posting. Try it, it will work for you. Two groups- Midnght Mad Hatters and *CS Midnight Mania are very picky about the messsages.

Very welcome- a good rant is necessary at times

the reason MM groups have rules is because of the people who want to spam every 15 minutes about the 25 MM's they have at their mall filled with freebie fluff that no one wants. It gets so annoying that people leave the groups.

Well maybe you should apply and be checked out , having quality and own produced things ..before being able to enter these groups as a merchant instead?
Why should I have to spend hours to learn about all kinds of different stupid rules,just bc there are morons?

Most rules are pretty much common between all MM groups (it is for announcing MMs, not for saying what is on sale). Any variances from the rules can be handled by keeping a note to yourself.

BTW, assuming you have good stuff you do not ever need to send announcements to the MM groups (well, maybe every few days to catch new people and remind others you are there). Customers will come to you daily and it will be in our best interest to promote your board over the day (so it gets the required number of slaps). Actually, I tend to stay away from stores that spam me every few hours with what is on their MM boards (especially after I have found out it is a store-group-only board or something).

That is entirely up to the group owners, some care, some don't. I tend to think the groups that are strictest about how much you can spam the members are also the groups that are stricter about who gets to post as a designer.

I have been in groups where they come and check out your store before they let you post, and I have been in groups where every freebie reseller in the world is allowed in. Sadly, MM was a great thing that in my opinion has gone downhill, as some people are now using it to game traffic because they can't have skyboxes full of bots anymore. It's a shame really.
