I'm trying to edit an attachment, and although it is mod and I can normally edit it, there is one prim I can see yet can't select to move. It doesn't even seem to "highlight" when you select the entire object, but is always visually there.
How on earth do I fix this? Rezzing the item on the ground doesn't seem to do anything, you still can't select this one prim.

It could be that the prim is inside another prim that is transparent -- and it can be hard to cam in properly to get it selected.
You could note the positions of the prims around it, move them away, and see if that makes selecting the one easier.

if prims around it are in the way, use the move handles on them to get them out of the way, edit your desired prim, then reselect the prims you moved and hit ctrl+z to drop them back into place. just make sure that if you selected them individually to move, that you reselect them idividually to move back... else you could end up with problems.

Select the object, then selecting for individual prims, de-select every other prim one by one until you only have that one selected.

I have also seen a few cases where a cut and otherwise altered prim did not *appear* to be selected while attached, and yet still was! Try moving it, along with at least one other prim.
For example, I bought some prim hair that was perfect, except that it has 4 prims on either side of the face that would, on a Human, come down in front of the girl's ears. On my Furry form, they embedded in my cheek ruff. I wanted to select those 4 prims on either side and move then outward, so that when I detached the hair I could more readily select them and unlink them.
Try as I might, I could only seem to select three of the four. No visible difference when I clicked on that fourth prim, no matter what sequence. But when I moved the three, the fourth moved too! Checking the prim count in Edit, it did say the right number were selected, but there was no visible indication on screen.
The prim in question was a very small cut segment of a much larger torus.

This has been happening to me for about 3 weeks now. Drives me crazy when trying to make hair. I asked around but no one else had experienced it. The "fix" i found was to drop the item on the ground to move the prims, and if the prim was a flexi (Or perhaps has an alpha texture on it), I had to make sure my item`s background was the sky. Sounds weird, but that was the only way I could select it.
