Non-Temp-On-Rez Vendors

Howdy,

I'm looking to write an article about vendor objects and one desired category is hard to nail down: non-Temp-on-Rez vendors. What I'm looking for are vendor machines that can rez full structures like embedded Rez-Faux boxes so the potential buyer can walk around the build without using Temp-on-Rez.

I've done some searching and found a few but I figured I'd put it here for any recommendations, eitjer in-world or SL Exchange or wherever. The vendor should be able to store a number of fully rezzable builds and scroll through all the available items and choose when to rez the one they are looking at.

Scripts that can do the same and are embeddable are welcome as well. I'm trying to pull together a list of the available options. Thanks!

A lot of the major vendors already offer this option. Boutique scripting places may offer plugins to do this, if the vendor doesn't. HippoVend definitely does holovending (that is the keyword you should search for), but there are people that make plugins for it and other systems. Hiro Pendragon has one that is free, and it is a great start. Also check out Moopf Murray.

Thanks Cristalle, but I'm not sure we're talking about the same thing. Let me describe a scenario:

I have built four houses, each of them packaged using Rez-Faux. I want a vendor that can rez any one of the houses at a particular spot when someone is browsing the vendor. Essentially one is always on display, and when another is chosen the current item is de-rezzed, its box deleted, the requested build's Rez-Faux box is rezzed and its build is then rezzed allowing one full house to always be on display not using temp-on-rez (enough prims are set aside to allow any of the builds to be active).

I'll try searching in-world for holovending, that word (no "holoved" returns any items on SL Exchange. The vendors I've already bought for this article seem to only work with linked objects, not objects packaged by one of the rezzing systems like Rez-Faux.

I make houses. I use HippoVend to sell them. It has a holvending feature but it is not sufficient for houses. I bought a plugin from Innes McLeod of Sirius Creations that allows me to rez models. I can do it temp or non temp, rotating or not. Most rezzing vendors need you to rez whatever it is very close to the vendor in a linked manner. Innes' plugin is not linked and works like a charm. It uses a rezzing base that I put anywhere and the hippoVend vendor tells it what to rez. I do not know of anyone else who makes a system like that but I'm sure it is out there.

You might look at Liquid Vend...I just bought the system...have not set it up yet but checked out the Demo and it looked great..I have used the Build Packaging system and it works great and works with the Vendor System...

I just announced my Dyata Paniki Demo Rezzer system earlier this week. It includes its own vendors and integrates with HippoVEND vendors and generic vendors as well. It is like rez-faux in that it can rez several multiple linked objects for display.
