Gaaah, I'm getting "Login failed - we're down for Maintenance". Anyone else having problems getting online?
As usual there is NOTHING on the Blog, and NOTHING on the Status Report, but hey, SNAFU.

Logins temporarily disabled Logins have been disabled until further notice. We are aware that various features within Second Life may not be working at the moment. This includes L$ payments, Search, Teleport, and Map. We will let you know as soon as any additional information becomes available. - Frontier You'll note they say logins are disabled, not that they've closed the grid. People who are in and don't log out will stay in. _____________________

and the forum feed Hell you must be the hall monitor just fyi, i had been trying to get on for 30 minutes BEFORE they posted the status. Also when one reads Maintenance, they assume it was a scheduled thing, not a our server crapped out again so you cant get in thing |

just fyi, i had been trying to get on for 30 minutes BEFORE they posted the status. I relogged without trouble several times when Search stopped working for me...it was only about 5-10 minutes from the time I was logged out until they put the notice up. It's 2:40am Sunday morning in California and they're likely running a skeleton staff, so I think that was fairly prompt. _____________________

Also when one reads Maintenance, they assume it was a scheduled thing, not a our server crapped out again so you cant get in thing Speaking as someone who works in online gaming and has to deal with this same sort of comment, MAINTENANCE is just that. If it is broken it's needing to be fixed, whether that's the routine planned upgrade type of maintenance or it's emergency fix the borkage. _____________________
