Unable to see Rotation

Several months back, I lost the ability to see rotations. At first, I thought it was just broken scripts, but other people have assured me that the objects which have rotation scripts are indeed turning. I have tried different viewers as well as updating Video Card drivers without any success.

I doubt it is related, but I also seem to have a problem walking in a straight line without the screen freezing up/lagging. If I hold down either the up or down arrow key, it freezes up until I let go -- my Avatar moving the distance suddenly. This also occurs if I use the movement console, again, moving forward or backward. It does not happen when I fly up or down, and for the most part, I can move forward so long as I hold down the up arrow and alternate between the left and right keys (not so much a zig-zag, but just like a drunken stagger).

I've tried looking both on the web as well as the forums for answers to these problems, but as you can tell, they are a bit hard to explain. Any suggestions are welcome and I will try to provide as much information as required.

Thank you.

About the time you mentioned all rotations had problems in sl mainland. All my rotations packed up it was a known problem although they are rotating now they seem to be intermittent. Can you see rotations in other sims? As for walk that sounds like bad lag which for me has been high for a week.

Welcome to the forums.

Wild guess, but: In the Advanced (or, in older viewers, "Client";) menu (activated by Alt-Control-Shift-D), under Network, is "Velocity Interpolate Objects" not checked?

Wow -- I've been banging my head against the wall for the past few months, toggling what I thought was every setting. Seems that I missed that one. Thank you so very much. Took care of both issues.

and the prims shouted AMEN

I've been unable to see rotation (thought was just my own rotations, sigh) since I went to beta (new installation required) 2 weeks ago.

Bless you for the question and you for the answer.
Phew!
That tip needs to go in knowledge base. Hrm.
