SL account

ok its dumb account question time......I have just the basic membership at the moment and buy a couple of thousand L$ every month to mess about with. When I buy L$ my credit card gets charged for the appropriate amount as per exchange rate....no problem. But I have a healthy paypal account which I use for other activities. So does anyone how, or if indeed it's possible to get my L$ transaction payments taken from that account rather than off the credit card?

Yes, it is possible. Go to My Account on the web site and set up your payment options to use PayPal instead of a credit card. I believe it's under Update Billing Information. Jackie

Yes, you can change your billing information to point to your PayPal account instead of the credit card you are using now. However...

They don't allow you to have multiple valid payment methods open at once, and choose which to use. Unlike many on-line merchants, where you can easily give them the information for several valid credit cards, and choose by transaction which to use for that transaction, LL requires you to delete the existing information and enter new information each time you want to change - with an associated verification check where they bill and then refund a $1 USD fee from their UK finance center, which often gets flagged by banks as a "Suspicious activity" requiring verificatioon between you and the bank that it was a valid charge, before it is approved as a payment method.

Your PayPal account needs to ne a "Verified" one - IE, you have to link your PayPal to a backup funding source, sich as a checking account, credit card, or both, at PayPal's end, before LL will accept it.

LL has a nasty habit of not always allowing even a verified PayPal account as a funding source. Most of the time, it is acceptable, But if they ever get a quirky notion to decline your PayPal validity, you won't be able to use PayPal after that, for that account, or for future accounts. (Though that will happily continue allowing it on any pre-existing accouts that were already set up to use PayPal, and which never changed from PayPal.) So if you get them to accept PayPal, leave it that way.
