tubs are notorious for doing that, especially if you have any kind of physics in the build. make sure it's set to the right group if you have one on your land.

Is it a no-copy item (eg: do you have to keep asking the creator for a new one each time it goes missing)? If it's copiable, then I would suggest sending a copy back to the creator and asking them to check it over. It might be that a temp-rezzer script (maybe to create bubbles or some other temporary effect in the bath) has accidentally been put in the linked bath, and is causing it to disappear. Even if it's no-copy then the creator should examine each part of their copy of it, to make sure there's not been an error in making it.

Do you have auto-return set on your land, and are you wearing the correct group tag when rezzing the bath? Does it disappear soon after you rez it? If so, try taking it to a sandbox and seeing if it disappears there.

Is the item somehow set for sale as the original? While this probably isn't the case if it vanished under your nose once, it's possible that someone used your bath when you were not logged, or saw it, and managed to take it.

All of these are pretty unlikely, I'll admit (I seem to be on a "try this unlikely thing that probably won't work, just in case it *does* work" kick today) and others will be along shortly who can probably give you much better suggestions. But they're all remote possibilities, I guess, and are something to try at least.
