I've already searched for such a topic but either my keywords are wrong or I'm the first one with this problem.

Anyway yesterday at about 8 o'clock pm I bought 2000L$ for about 8$. And 15 minutes ago, i again tried to buy 1200L$ but it always said

This transaction would exceed your monthly trading limit by US$3.02.
Your monthly trading limit is US$10.
Couldn't reserve order.
The system encountered an error while processing your order, please try again.

So, how do I get my money into SL?

Don't. The trading limit is a favor to you. Really.

If you insist upon getting more Linden Dollars, you can buy them from a third-party source. Normally I wouldn't trust such a source, but SLExchange has been around for a while and has a good record behind it.

I don't think trade limits matter when buying from SLExchange. But you may have a waiting period for your financials to be verified, so it might be a day before you get your Linden Dollars (or more; this is a weekend).

To buy more Linden Dollars from Linden Lab in the future, go to the Second Life website, log in, go to "My Account" and choose "Increase Credit." You might not be able to increase credit immediately in your first month; about that I am not sure. But at least you can read on what you need to do to increase your credit.

Check out the Billing and Trading limits page

https://secure-web4.secondlife.com/currency/describe-limits.php

There are limits set when you are a new avatar that gradually get increased with age.

Why there are billing and trading limits
These limits exist so that we can better accommodate the needs of our Residents while mitigating our fraud risk.

To buy more Linden Dollars from Linden Lab in the future, go to the Second Life website, log in, go to "My Account" and choose "Increase Credit."

Unnecessary unless you want to deposit USD to cover membership or tier fees. Once your trading limit increases, you can either buy in-world or from the site following the Linden Dollar Exchange > Buy L$ links.

With the limit, day 0 is the first day you purchase and it increases on day 2, so about 48 hours. Also, limits are cumulative; if you spend up to the 10USD limit in the first couple of days, you'll have 90USD available, not 100, through day 7.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

wow $10 dollars seems kind of low..
i forgot what mine is..it's either $150.00 or $500.00 a month i never see that message anymore so i don't know the limit..i thought it was at least 150.00 when i first started sl..
did they lower it at all?
i also sometimes buy on SLexchange as well though

and what is the limit for most people buying from in game anyways or do they up the limit the more you buy over time?

I think it was higher when I started too, but the initial limit has been 10USD for a long time...it's to prevent fraud, such as someone using a stolen credit card to purchase large quantities of L$ and then cashing them back out. It increases to a monthly total of 100USD after a couple of days and 300USD after a bit more than a week. On the 28th day after the first transaction, it goes all the way to 2500USD/month. A stolen credit card, etc, is likely to have been discovered by then, so the first month limits minimize the damage that can be done.
