Questions about vendors for my store?

Okay I’m looking for a vendor for my store that you don’t have to grant permission for anything. Are there any out there or is this something that I have to do? Last time I got the yellow drop menu I ended up losing over 5,600 and probably won’t be getting that back even though I reported it. If anyone has any information for me or know of some vendors that won’t steal my L’s, please let me know. I’m not sharing the store profits with anyone as of now but they may change so I need one of each and are easy to set up. Any information would be helpful. I’ve looked around sl and slexchange and haven’t had any luck with any of the ones I’ve found. I’m just worried about loosing L’s again.

the reason a vendor asks for debt permissions is so it can refund the buyer in the case of failed delivery or incorrect payment

go with a trusted source, jevn, and hippo come to mind

or check the scripting forum for free scripts to make your own

Oh okay, I wasn't sure why it did that. Thanks for the information!

check for failed delivery is not possible or else we would never had no delivery reports ;)

also using the llSetPayPrice() or what ever command it was, you can set a signle fixed price so no manual input is possible so debit grant is pritty much not needed if you really look at it :)

maybe i should make a debitless vendor if there are non :p

And also if you want to share profits, as the OP suggests she might. The first time I rezzed a Hippo vendor system component and it asked for debit permissions, I deleted it immediately in near panic.

Later, when I saw the system in operation, I understood why it does that. A renter paid her rental box. Immediately, the box paid me, its owner. Then, because I had told it that the rent was to go to our group accountant, my personal account was immediately debited and the money sent to the accountant.

Strong recommendation for HippoVEND. Cheaper, faster, and more reliable. Networked, web access, it's da bomb.

I own both the apez and hippo systems. While both work great, I found the Hippo to be easier set up and it gives you the ability to transfer their 'catalogue vendors' to other people who may want to resell your products. And, it makes it really easy too. Apez can basically do the same thing however it is a bit tedious to set up a resale system as a creator -- and as a potential reseller its kind of a drag too. Linden for Linden, I'd put my dollars in with Hippo.

ah apez is another one, could not recall the name off hand hehe

I have always used jevn, do not find it difficult to use and love the catalogue option

and people really do take the catalogue

Thanks everyone for the wonderful advice, I went with hippo but I'm using the demo right now and by the looks of it will be purchasing it in the future. Really easy to use! Very cool! Thanks everyone!!
