I've updated my "Sansara & Heterocera Atoll" and "Linden Lab Mainland Continents" maps. The changes are fairly minor, and are listed below. If you have the map kiosks from inworld, they should update to the new versions of the map automatically. Linden Lab Mainland Continents.01.28.08 * Added expansion of Corsica over past three months * Added three alternate names for Continent 4 * Added "Korean Continent" as alternate name for Jeogeot Sansara & Heterocera.01.21.08 * Added Big Easy/Biloxi * Added Violet Welcome Area * Added new sim to Linden Village Annex * Added second Help Island Public * Added Mahulu InfoHub * Added Campion Highest Point on Mainland * Added Zygaena Crater * Added "InfoHub & Adjacent NCI InfoNode" Symbol to map legend and Bear, Ross, Hyles, Iris, Hanson, Ambat, & Mahulu InfoHubs * Corrected Luskwood size/position * Changed SLRR station numbers to yellow for increased visiblity

Thanks, that's great work and really gives me an impression of where I live in relation to the rest of SL. I can see my house from here!

I already have a sign directing people to NCI at our Welcome Center; is there a way I can put up a map kiosk too? How do I get one?

From: Nuno McCullough Where can I found those cool maps in world? I use to look at map but those details on the second one are really cool You can get copies of the maps at any of the NCI locations. And if I am understanding Carl correctly, once you rezz them in world, they become a self-updating kiosk. Princess Ivory

I've got one of these nice world maps on the back wall of my Egotherapy Centre. I never realised that Jeogeot was a Korean continent, although my home sim of Yosu has an oriental sound to its name.

I got my copy of the map kiosks at the main NCI in Kuula. Just cam around til you see the maps, and when you touch them each will send you a copy. Each copy IS a kiosk, and when you rez it it should "say" that it is one. They automagically and silently update. Your own copy is also a self-dispensing copy. Some friends have picked up theirs at my house Thanks so much, Carl! They are not only useful, but very lovely. Can you do them over in green instead of blue tones? It would go better with my decor. No, wait, pink! Hmmm.

I got my copies as well. Just a thought that I wanted to see what the general opinion here is:
Would it be morally correct to use these maps to screen out ad-farms?
I have left the ad-farms in peace for going on a year. I have parcels surrounding several of them. I've tried unsuccessfully to negotiate with the owners to remove them or sell the 16 sq. m plots to me for a REASONABLE price to no avail.

Looks like it's updated on the Kiosk. Great job, Carl!

Copies of the maps can be found there. Click on the map(s) to get a self-updating copy (using Sasun Steinbeck's wonderful Kiosk.net system).

From: Ollj Oh why are the white large numbers ON the continents? The white numbers indicate the order in which Linden Lab built the continents.

Jeogeot started out with Linden Lab using Korean names, but by the time they got abotu 2/3rds of the way through, they had abandoned that naming concept, and were pretty much using any name that came to mind.

Okay, I _thought_ I was on Southern, but it's really nice to have the confirmation and not just be guessing. How exactly is "Jeogeot" supposed to be pronounced? Is Satori the one they were building this time last year, with all the Arthurian names?

Yes, Satori was starting to be built at this time last year, the one that caused "Black Thursday" when the market took a huge drop. Satori has a bunch of different genres of names. They went on a Russian kick for a while, and I got one of those Vyacheslav, not too far from the water on the northwest side.

From: Rihanna Laasonen How exactly is "Jeogeot" supposed to be pronounced? It's a Korean word, pronounced something like "juh-gut".
