Hi - newbie here...

When I click and drag on an object in my library (for example, the bed) to place it in my house is there a way I can rotate it to put it exactly where I want it to be?

All advice gratefully received :-)

Did you do the tutorials on Orientation Island?

Press the button marked "Build", select the bed (or whatever), then use the tools in the Build window.

Right-click the bed and select 'edit'. Select the 'Rotate' radio button at the top of the menu and then left-click drag the coloured circle that represents the plane in which you wish to rotate the bed. If you make a mistake, pressing control-z returns the object to the previous location/rotation. You can press it again to take it to the position before that, and so on.

It really is worth getting to grips with the basics of building/editing objects in SL - check out the 'Ivory Tower of Prims' for some cool tutorials.
