everything i do seems to "stop responding" it only used 2 do it every now & again now it does it at least 20 times an hour, anyone know an application anti-hang thingy?

The obstacle course at majorgeeks.com will clean out just about all the malware crud, (or any other stuff) that's probably hanging up your browser:

If this is the pause for 2-5 seconds repeatetly then it's an oldish SL/driver bug. Worse on macs but affects PCs too. It somes and goes on my machine with each release. weird.

Is this an SL only problem or is the computer just pausing generally?

If it's SL maybe a different version of SL would do better.

Try running an "error checking" on your hard drive, then a defrag. Of course scan for viruses/adware. Check your internet connection.
