Music shutting off

With the installation of the new version, I wil prompted to get the new QUICKTIME. I installed it, rebooted started up SL and began listening to music. Sadly, the music dies after about 10 minutes and I have to keep turning it back off then on. I wondered if it was the stream.... so I listened to it on winamp.... no troubles. back to SL... shuts off after about 10 mins.

Is anyone else having this problem? Any idea how to correct it?

Saw a reply to the blog mentioning the same sort of problem. Unless that was you, I can't seem to go back and check - the forums are borked. I haven't downloaded yet and tried a stream. Will do soon to see.

How are you playing the music? Is it regular parcel music, or is it a "CD" or other media being played by SL?

If it's parcel music, I have no idea why this is happening, I have seen this only VERY rarely, and always chalked it up to running out of buffer space on my 500MB laptop.

If it's media played by SL's asset servers (e.g. most piano and other instruments', CDs, etc.), then you are lucky you are hearing it at all - streaming music is often beyond the asset servers' abilities.

I will add that I went back to the older version, and everything works just fine. Seems to be only with the newer version.

I run the Windlight version and have this problem with parcel music. It's not all the time but enough to be somewhat annoying. I used to think that it might be a problem with stream source, but if it works in an older version then perhaps its a bug in the client.

Newer viewer works fine for me, (music).
