Access to the rest of the website seems to have improved; but to the forums it is, if anything, worse. I posted this in another 503 thread, but since they haven't fixed it yet thought I'd repost this idea for how even Basic accounts (non-Premium) can file a support ticket on this: From: someone I just submitted a "region down" support ticket for the forums
As a basic resident, that form of "Special Question" seemed to be the best fit.
Here's the text I used:
"The forums have been plagued with 503 and other errors, to the point where they are nearly unusable, since Friday. The forums are part of my, and many others residents', SL experience when I cannot go inworld. Please return them to working order."

Are the support requests handled by a third party customer service company rather than Linden staff?

From: SuezanneC Baskerville Are the support requests handled by a third party customer service company rather than Linden staff? Doesn't matter, does it? Whoever handles the initial report, it eventually gets reported to LL. The point is to just give the issue visibility. A website access report like this will probably get tallied and the tally sent to the datacenter network admin folks, which given that its a load balancer issue (it sure looks like one), is probably the right place. .

Ironically, I took 4 of the 503 errors before the support page actually loaded. I did log a ticket, though.

My experience with third party customer service organizations mainly involves the one used by Comcast. It has not been an entirely rewarding experience. They might have a "off topic" category to file it in.

If my e-business team allowed 503 errors to go on this long, They'd all be fired by now. Oops just got another one trying to post this message. And another.

I just received the following email: Subject: Ticket #<9999>: Sent Final Resolution (503 Errors in Forums) We have solved your issue Solution: Hi, Twosteppin Thank you for contacting the support portal. As per our blog post we have been working on the 503 error issue regarding our website and it's related pages. We have resolved this issue all but the friends-online portion of the website. Forums should be working again. Thank you for your patience. Kate I-World Team And, of course, I took a couple more of the 503 errors trying to get to this thread and post this message -- after a fresh reboot of my computer, therefore completely fresh browser window. I'm glad to hear that they have finally resolved this issue again.
