When you check my profile, you would find there's 'no payment information' there. What does it mean ? Is it donating, buying other's product, selling L$ to US$, buying L$ from US$ or ... ? Thanks.

it means if you have a credit card or paypal information on file, and if it is used to either pay premium or in any other way with SL, then it will reflect that too

I suggest you have a look around the knowledgebase, a lot of valuable information is there.

Hi Jolly :)

In theory, it works like this:

No payment info - You have not provided LL with payment information (or possibly did, but later removed it).

Payment info on file - You have provided LL with payment information (your credit card or paypal account info), but have not actually paid LL for anything.

Payment info used - You have actually paid LL for something, like a premium membership or buying L$ on the Lindex

*****

However, I have heard several people say their profile never updated to "payment info on file" after they entered their payment info (it acknowledges it on the web site, but not on your SL profile). In this case, buying a small amount (like $1) of L$ was enough to update the profile to "info used".

It's possible that you need to look at secondlife.com/account/billing.php .

Yup. I recently allowed one of my alts to go legit, and her status wouldn't flip to "on file", had to buy her some play money and bump it up to "used"…

…and during this adventure I learned that you can't place an order for only $1, apparently the 30¢ or whatever it is service charge doesn't count toward the $1 minimum.

How right you are! :)

I just tested it. It seems the smallest you can buy on the Lindex (in market buy) is $1.30 -- $1 for lindens (which is the minimum), plus the 30¢ service charge. And a small rounding error comes into play at these amounts, so I ended up getting charged $1.31.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.
