The link to your item doesn't appear to be valid..

Also, naming names is a big forum no-no.

The first link doesn't work.

Is it any relation to the complaint you had on SLEx forums about someone copying your design?

This is Resident Answers, not Personal Vendettas. Take it somewhere else, please.

My mail to Onrez - 10/31/2007 7:18 PM EDT:
Hello guys,
I was just browsing the website when i stumbled on a copy of my buildings. Looks like someone else is selling my building here.
Take a look at:
My item: http://shop.onrez.com/item/187052

The thief: http://shop.onrez.com/item/393358------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Item is still listed on the onrez website.
What should i do next?

Oddly, the URL to your item produces an "Object not found" web page.

The correct URL for your item appears to be
http://shop.onrez.com/item/399993

The URL to the alleged thief's item does say you are the creator. How did he obtain a transferrable copy of your White Palace? Or did he? Maybe he didn't, he could easily just be selling an object with a photo of your White Palace on it. I am sure that On-Rez will take down his item after they have had a chance to verify that it is fradulent.

You are likely to get in big trouble for naming names and posting chat logs here, that is a violation of the forum guidlines. I suggest you edit your post to delete that information.

The Onrez link doesn't work, but the SLX one does:

http://www.slexchange.com/modules.php?name=Marketplace&file=images&ItemID=225970&ImageID=472280

A pretty clear case of theft, even if your thief did make a few minor changes to the overall design. The big giveway is the awning, logo and text for Majestic Palace Casino. No way two people came up with that exact piece at random.

If someone is gaming you, as it appears they might be, it appears that they won this round.

I'm surprised you gave up so easy, as it does look like you have put alot of time and effort into building lots of the things that you sell. Don't give up so easy. I suggest you may need to develope a little thicker skin if you are going to survive in a competitive marketplace.

Wow, I just visited your store, Hosoi Ichiba - By Hosoi Estates, Virgin Islands, your work is very impressive, it would be a shame for SL to loose someone with your talent over something like this.

I assume you have purchased the copy listing as you have written a review? Are they actually selling a copy of your building they have managed to copy or is it a fake listing where you receive something else?

All item thieves of this sort should be paired up with the rampaging Goreans from the other thread.

As the slaves, which will then be auctioned off to us designers for floggings!

Now, that is just what i mean, ppl responding in a violent way.
Who are the real victims here? The people trying to live by the rules or the people hacking other peoples accounts, stealing land, stealing items.

Thats what makes me sad;-)

Yes, I agree, it is a shame, and its very unfortunate this has upset you. Lest you miss the comment I added to my post above I am repeating it here.

Don't let these scam artists drive you away. As I'm sure you already know, there are lots of good honest people in SL also.

i don't know if that's an ARable offense, but even if not, i surely wouldn't let something like this make me quit SL altogether.

I was not sure whether to say anything, but on the other hand, I have seen yours and others comments on your builds before over at SLX I believe, so here goes:

AmiRyu, I certainly hope you are not giving up this easily, that would really be a shame! It is a very nice project you have there, and I have no problem understanding how much effort must have gone into it, hence the frustration when something like this happens. You have my sympathy, and good luck solving this case. Please stay with us :)
