I know how to IM a friend who is not 'In World' , but how can I send an inventory item to them ?

Open your friend's profile and drag the item from your inventory folder onto the open profile window.
The item has to be transferable and if it's no-copy you'll no longer have the object (because you've given it to your friend).

Also if your friend declines a no-copy object you won't get it back, it will simply end up in their trash folder, this also happens if you send someone somthing when he is in bussy mode. |
