Hi,

My friend and I (joined Sl July 2008) both wore free Radar Shades without any problems. A few days ago we both moved house and now live close to one another. I have no problems with the radar shades by my friend does !!!!! Now hers no longer send "messages" when anyone in near her but the radar shades send dozens of messages (to Sl and to her email address) when anyone is within 60m or so of her house. This happens all the time, she can be at a totally different location from where she lives but the radar shades are still sending messages related to her house.

Obviously this is proving very annoying, especially when she logs on and finds a screen full of "green messages" all from radar shades plus anything up to 280 email messages !!! She has detached the radar shades but the same thing is still happening. As a last resort she changed her skin and shape ..... still happening. The radar shades are showing as NOT worn (they are not worn!). We even tried doing a Transparancy Search ...... radar shades are definitely not worn.

Strangely enough, when she comes to my house (same sim), she gets a message from radar shades saying "Chantelle Luik (her name) is 56 m away). If she is at a ballroom (Franks for example), the "mysterious unworn radar shades" do not list the names of those around her or nearby but instead, list messages about anyone who is in the sim where she lives. She contacted her landlord to ask him to check the house security to see if there were anything conflicting with radar shades (even though she does not wear them!!). He checked everything and there were no problems.

Can anyone help or offer any suggestions please ?

Thank you

My first recommendation is that you contact the creator of the item. They should be able to tell you how to fix your item, or what you're doing wrong, or even replace something if it's b0rked.

Sounds like she has dropped a pair on the ground somewhere. Because they are still active after she has logged off and they are detecting her (if she was wearing them the sensor in the shades would not pick her up).
