Sometimes when I'm in the clubs, I see people smaking other peoples asses or kissing or whatever. And when they do this you can hear it clear across the room. I also see in the local chat "Person A admires Person B on the pole". How to I do this to others if I wanted to?

Well, to do the Person A admires Person B thing it is simple:

Just type /me in front of what you are saying.

/me welcomes Micky to the forum and offers this tip to help him/her in SL. This will look like:
Machpisto Angelus welcomes Micky to the forum.. blah blah.

Kissing is often done by Poseballs. You will see round balls that you can "sit" on to make you do actions. There are animations hidden inside to make you move.

The stuff you hear across the room are called "gestures". You can pick these up at animation stores, find free ones around and even make your own. I warn you though it you get one that makes you double over and laugh and giggle like a baby not only will the baby jesus cry but I will make it my personal goal to hunt you down and make you cry. Just kidding on the last part.. but boy that giggle is the most irritating thing in SL.

The ass-smacking is probably a spanker, an attachment your wear on your hip. Someone clicks on it, and you get a mesage in chat "Wulfric Chevalier spanks Micky Morpork's ass". Mildly amusing, but only for the first 50,000 times you see it.

There are also attachments called AO's that let you hug, kiss and smack people.
