Hi

Two questions, not necessarily connected!

I was rummaging in my inventory looking for one of those gizmo's that you drop in the water to make waves, which I know I had. Ages ago, I let a plot that had a load of my stuff on it, which I just returned to myself at the time, so a lot of things got boxed up together.

The only one it can be in is called "Suoni Animali", or something like that. I suspect it contains the wave thingys, one of those free environmental sound wotsits (it was on the land when I bought it, and he was Italian, so that kind of makes sense), a small linden built dock, and probably a few plants. I assume this as all this stuff was down one end of the plot and these are the only other things I can't find.

Anyway, when I rez the object, I get a message saying that I cannot create plants on this land. I own the land, can edit terrain, and put down other plants, etc, but this box just won't open. I have tried it on a couple of plots, but with no luck. Anyone got any bright ideas on how to get the stuff out???

If not, then can anyone recommend good, reasonably priced, waves???

Thanks

Jen

Can't help too much with the plants but, if it's mainland land that you own, you should be able to rez the plants. If it's estate land, you aren't the actual "owner" of the land, in which case, you'll need to check with the estate owner.

As for the waves, I have Smartwaves from Wavelabs... the waves change size daily, so there's a bit of variety. I've had them a long time now, can't remember the price. I thought them good value, though.

I own on estate land and have those plants on my land. I have rezzed them on different parcels, all estate lands, with no problem. They work on estate land just fine.

If your land is group owned, make sure you are wearing that group tag. It is possible that, since you've had these a long time, that something is corrupted or no longer works with current versions.

If the box is transfer, you might seek a friend to rezz it for you and then pick what you want to keep.

Good luck :)

Also note that when you rez a coalesced object, all the objects will reappear in the same positions they were before. That is to say, maybe they are too spread out and the plants are trying to rez themselves on somebody else's parcel, which is why you're getting that message.

That's what I say, too. Try rezzing from a few different spots on your land to see if you can catch a good place.

Get someone with a big parcel to put you in their land group and give you planting rights, temporsarily.
