Two part question:
1. If I play SL on someone elses computer with my login, will I have all the inventory and such my avatar is supposed to have? Nothing is stored on my end, right?
2. I heard there is a faster alternative to the SL client that some people use that apparently runs smoother or something. Anyone know anything about this?

Two part question: 1. Can SL be portable via a USB flash drive to take to whoevers computer and play on, given specs are good? I would probably even copy it onto their HDD temporaraly for speed purposes.. Yes. As long as you've got the storage capacity on that flash drive/portable media, you can take it with you. Copying to their hard drive would make it faster as well I believe. However, it only takes a few minutes to install in my experience, and might be better to just take the install file. _____________________
