I just wanted to make an actual, genuine, non-metaphorical "Philip is changing his role, therefore, the sky is falling" post.
You see so many references to these "Sky Is Falling" posts but most of the time there is no actual claim to the effect that the sky is falling; instead there is more often just a statement to the effect that some tremendous calamity is going to occur or that some terrible consequence is soon to befall us, such as the end of roleplay in Second Life or perhaps the dreaded War In Jesse.
Accordingly, I hereby state, not sincerely, but quite clearly, that Philip's statement about changing his job role, or the actual change, or both, will actually make the sky fall down, knocking birds to the ground and making the moon fill up one of the oceans. The ISS will stay where it is with no adverse consequences.

Damn. I thought that was just rain. What do you suggest? High ground? There's less sky in the mountains to fall on us and the tidal wave from the moon is going to be a problem. But if the sky falls too far, we'll be in outer space. How about high ground with a bunch of scuba tanks, just in case.
This is really going to be an ecological disaster. I thought Philip was in San Francisco. Aren't they all a bunch of environmentalist hippies there? If that moon lands on a coral reef or *gasp* and Exxon oil tanker, we're screwed.

I think maybe grass will turn blue instead of green, except in Kentucky, where it's already blue.
If Philip becomes Chairman of the Board, then he will get to wear a nice hat and put a coat over his shoulder and sing "I did it my way" to us, won't he?
With the sky down at ground level, airplane noise is going to be a real problem, not to mention the airplanes themselves. They'll have to put some good tires on planes, which will be nice, those little tires they have have always looked a bit silly to me.

Ladies and gentlemen, Boys and girls... THE CHOCOLATE ROOM. ... Hold your breath... Make a wish... Count to three. ... Come with me, And you'll be, In a world of pure imagination... Take a look, And you'll see, Into your imagination... We'll begin, With a spin, Traveling in The world of my creation What we'll see Will defy Explanation... If you want to view paradise, Simply look around and view it, Anything you want to, do it! Wanta change the world? There's nothing to it... ... There is no life I know To compare with pure imagination; Living there, you'll be free If you truly wish to be. ... If you want to view paradise, Simply look around and view it... Anything you want to, do it! Wanta change the world? There's nothing... To it... ... There is no life I know To compare with pure imagination... Living there, you'll be free... If you truly... wish to be.

If the sky does fall I'm sure I will miss it due to clouds or else it will happen when I'm at work.

Philips upcoming change of roles is bound to result in more furries.
Everything else does.

If that moon lands on a coral reef or *gasp* and Exxon oil tanker, we're screwed. Not to worry. Don't you remember the old saying "California is going to fall into the sea", so just throw them all of your scuba tanks and they will be just fine. Then they can just paddle around until they find an island (sim) to land on.

I am presently making 256 x 256 x 0.5 megaprim boxes with a nice sky textures on it, if you want to buy one of these for only L$500, please contact me in world and you can replace your fallen sky in minutes. Soon I will have scripted prims so you can have the sky the colour of your choice, these should work better with Windlight viewers.

It's not the SL sky that will fall, it's the real sky.
Once the clouds are all down on the ground, in your face all the time, everywhere will be like summer in San Francisco.
It's a fate too horrible to contemplate.
