What happens when he tries to open them? Are there notecard links embedded into a notecard that he has to click on to open? If that is the case sometimes SL can be borky with regards to them, have him drag the link into his inventory and open it from there by clicking on it as usual.

I'm having this issue, too. For the last two days, I cannot open notecards. When I try a strange little transparent window opens that cannot be clicked on. I've tried clearing cache, next up is to try a different viewer. Then reinstall unless somebody has an idea what's wrong.

Oh, and everything else about my inventory is working just fine.

Thanks.

Update: It's just Windlight this is happening with. The regular viewer functions normally.

Have Him Exit SL, Load SL Again, Go To Preferences, Clear Cache, Close SL, Open It Again, Allow It To Clear Cache, Log In, And See If That Fixes The Problem.

Oh, Nice Product Placement.

Hi, Annabelle. I'm not the OP but have the same issue. I did those steps, no luck. And, as I noted in my edited post, this is only happening in Windlight. The regular viewer works fine. cheers -

Try making a copy and opening up the new copy.

This from the blog,

"We are aware of reports of (and have experienced) a variety of issues from in-world. We suggest that you refrain from any major transactions at this time. You may experience the following (yet, not limited to) issues: failed teleports, region crossings, L$ transactions, notecards not saving, and items not rezzing.

We will update this blog with more information as it becomes available."

http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-4887 by any chance?

If so, that's an old, old unfixed bug gone bad (leave it up to LL to make bugs more annoying with every update instead of fixing them).

The size gripper (the diagonal yellow/orange lines) still works, just left-click and hold and drag a bit to get the notecard window to snap back to its normal size.

Yep, that did the trick. Many thanks, Kitty.
