hi for the last few days now i have been able to send any group IMs.... all i get when i open the IM window is this message: Starting session with xxxxxxxxxxx please wait. then after about 30 seconds it says: Error starting a new chat with xxxxxx *** error making request, please try again later. if someone else starts a chat, i can reply.. but i cant start one... except for fashcon, never been able to post in there..  does anyone know how to solve this, or have they got the same problems?

This has been happening since LL combined the chat, IMs and FL into the great (sarcasm there on great) Communication UI.
Bug Report filed and dutifully ignored.

That's normal. I mean, it's not working as intended, but you know, many of us deal with it (:. The times I've experienced that problem I haven't cared enough to try to find a workaround, but I think relogging and trying from another sim are worth a shot.
Viewer UI unrelated.

Also, when I receive a group IM, instead of seeing the group name in the tag, I get the name of the resident that has started it... Then when I open it, instead of view profile, I get that thing... Group info, or something like that. But without the name of the group on the IM tag.

That's weird and interesting, apparently the server gave up trying to get the group's name, even though it was still successful at relaying the IM to people in the group. |
