Beta is a much more respectable and correct term for the development of software.

Beta is a much more respectable and correct term for the development of software. Simple. Beta connects to the Beta Grid (when it's actually up). Test connects to the Live Grid. =^.^= _____________________

Beta is a much more respectable and correct term for the development of software. Beta refers specifically to one particular type of testing. It's actually shorthand, because the correct term is "beta testing" or "beta test". Calling something a beta tesst doesn't make it a good test, nor does it imply the software process is a good process (or a bad one). It's also somewhat dated in these days of continuous deployment. I see nothing wrong in calling it test software, so long as they're clear on what that means. |
