Hi, I recently joined a newly started Modelling academy run by C******* R****, however she shut it down after the first class, suposedly due to her grandfather becoming ill, she told me she would pay back the money but so far I have only received back a quater of what I paid, and this is the case for three other members too. How do I go about reporting her? Thanks.

First, please redact the name of the SL resident from your original post. It is against forum rules to disclose a residents name with allegations of wrongdoing.
It sounds like she is sincerely trying to refund people but lacks the funds on hand to do so in full, at least not all at once. Send her a notecard asking when you can expect the rest of your funds. Try to be polite about it when you do as sending her one with demands or negative comments will not likely elicit a good response. You can catch more flies with honey than you can with vinegar.
I'm not sure Linden Lab will act in this situation. They generally don't get involved in resident to resident transactions. Even if they do, there is not much they can do to get your money back in full if she doesn't have the money in her SL account, and if you report her and they suspend or ban her account you'll be in a worse position than before to get back any additional money if she is in fact trying to pay you back over time so you should try to work things out with her first before going to Linden Lab.

I think the technical term is SOL.

Shit Outta Luck. LL very seldom gets involved in resident to resident issues. And even if they did, not a whole lot they can do.

No harm in trying an AR, but I wouldn't get my hopes up. Just being honest.

There are some really actually good modeling classes.. tell newer people where to get AOs, how to edit them, what sells themselves to designers.. and such.

thats what an egent does. and you dont pay them, they get paid a commision if THEY get you work. i've never been a model in sl but know quite a bit about it in rl.

From: Whimsycallie Pegler There are some really actually good modeling classes.. tell newer people where to get AOs, how to edit them, what sells themselves to designers.. and such. I'm sorry but "good modeling classes" and "get AOs" just shouldn't be allowed in the same sentence. If a modeling school is asking students to get AOs for modeling, maybe you should look elsewhere for better training. As an experienced model, I know for sure, last thing you need during a show is to have an AO fail on you because of lag. Really embarrassing.

Yes i did pay for model training - i kinda thought this was the norm? If anyone has good ideas or can point me in the right direction for modelling I'd appreciate it : ).
