I know that groups with Open Enrollment can eject people who spam the chat channel, but they have been able to join back and spam all over again. This has been a documented problem in the jira for some time. I just saw an entry from a resident, though, saying that with 1.18 a person ejected from an Open Enrollment group can not rejoin without an invitation.
Can anyone confirm this?

I know that this is not likely to spark lively forum debate, but is there anyone who can answer this?

From: Sorin Morrisey I know that this is not likely to spark lively forum debate, but is there anyone who can answer this? If no one else replies before I can get to it, I'll test this when I get home. Might be an hour or two before I can run the test. --Hugsy

Here is the link to the jira: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/MISC-753I assume this means that from version 1.18 on this has been established.

Version: Second Life 1.19.1 (4) Apr 2 2008 11:59:37 (Second Life Release) Test #1: Alt was part of non-open enrollment group. Made group open enrollment. Alt left group. Alt was able to rejoin group. Test #2: With alt back in group, ejected alt. Alt was removed from group. Alt was able to rejoin group. At this point, if the alt wasn't able to rejoin, I was going to test inviting the alt back and then the alt leaving on his own. Then see if the alt could rejoin. But, I guess that's not necessary. --Hugsy

Thanks Hugsy, I guess the fix was a vicious rumor after all.

I'm not aware that folks ejected from an open group ever needed to be invited back in.
(That may not mean too much, I was an officer in a group without even knowing it.)
In one group I'm in there was a problem with people that had been ejected going to officers that didn't know they'd been ejected and getting themselves invited back in.
