Is SL experiencing massive inventory losses again? My GF has just lost thousands of items from multiple folders. Most of the folders are ok but some folders that held lots of purchased prims are now just empty.

Anything can happen, but I haven't heard of this happening so much recently. Maybe, before sending in a support ticket, would be worth clearing cache to make sure the stuff isn't just "hiding" (unless that's already been tried).

Also, stuff may just not be fully loaded yet. Enter a word at the top of the inventory window -- 'worn' or whatever -- and then watch the number of inventory items display. When it finally stops increasing then inventory is fully loaded. I have had some days/sims where it loads really really really slow -- like a crawl. Until it is fully loaded, some items are just not going to show to you.

Haven't noticed the inventory problem today, thank goodness, but SL is definitely borked. I tried buying some things in a shop - the request "timed out" because the "system could not process my request", but then five minutes later it made the payment anyway, but didn't deliver the goods. Fortunately, the creator was online and refunded my money. I then went to a different sim where he had the same stuff - same problem. And there have been *loads* of IMs today on various groups I'm on because people can't get animated attachments to work. Also, I crashed and couldn't relog for ten minutes - and that also happened to several other of my friends tonight. Sadly, LL are taking the usual approach of thinking if they don't bother announcing it as an issue on the blog, we won't realise it's happened

I had a bad crash today & after logging back in I was missing several thousand in inventory, and my entire snapshots folder was empty. The inventory didn't show up by trying to force a search or anything like that--but the usual clearing cache & relogging led to everything reappearing.

They mentioned an issue with transactions earlier today, but it was supposedly 'Resolved' about 4 hours ago.

From: Svar Beckersted TY for your replys after multiple cache clearings and reloggings she got everything back. Very glad to hear that, Svar. Thanks for updating. Speaking of odd things happening today, on FairChang Balboa, every parcel I checked had approximately 3/4 of the prims "Selected/sat upon." For my parcel, that was almost 300 prims. I've never seen more than 5 on my parcel before. Considering that these items are often lost with no chance for recovery, it caused some concern. Fortunately, a sim restart fixed it.

From: Ann Launay They mentioned an issue with transactions earlier today, but it was supposedly 'Resolved' about 4 hours ago. Supposedly... "Update 7:28 PM PST Logins may also be affected. If you are having difficulty with login, please attempt to login to a different region. We have several reports of stale transactions. Do not conduct transactions at this time, which includes transfer of inventory or L$. We are working to determine the cause and will work to remedy this as soon as possible."
