I have just ordered a GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB built in RAM
BUT i only have 1.25GB RAM (i will upgrade this ina month or so)
amd 2.25GHz 3700+

i was wondering when (if) Windlight comes out that it will work smoothly on all settings on full?

And question to, would it be worth getting a physics card for the new Havok4 system that SL is upgrading to? would it then take the load off of the CPU for processing the physics?

Also should i stick with XP or take the plunge and "down" grade to Vista

Dunno about the first question, other than the RAM should be enough to play, but might be slow in some areas. However....

The answer to this is no, the physics upgrade is for simulators. The client doesn't really do any physics handling of its own, as such you would see no speed improvement with a physics card, those are for games that would be played on your computer only (whereas SL is network game).

They might give the SL servers a nice boost if they added them though =)
