Look up "Lightening Video Mall" in search, you should find it on the list (it's spelt like that, yes). I'd recommend a better movie, but.. Oh well, have fun.  |

I'm mighty curious what kind of licensing agreement this Lightening Video Mall place has with the studios that allows them to rent copyrighted movies in SL. I tried to contact the owner to ask, but got no response.
I did, however, read their TOS, which has all kinds of restrictions in it regarding what the renter can and can't do with the movies. I'd like to think the owner(s) of this service aren't hypocritical enough not to be observing the same kinds of restrictions themselves with regard to the RL copyright on what they're secondarily renting. No way to know, though, until and unless they respond to my question.

Rent or buy a video, let all of SL pay to rent it, then forbid them from showing it to more than a few of their friends, or from charging for it. HA. |
