Quickly change settings

If I want to play in a combat sim like, Japanes swordfighting, I need to change all my settings so that I the fastest response from my viewer.

But these settings are no fun exploring. Is there a way to change settings quicklyfor example have to settings files and switch between them? Can I have more the 1 viewer on my PC each set to a different set of presets and use one for fighting and the other for exploring?

The fastest way to improve performance is to lower your draw distance. Running it down to 64 meters for a sword fight may be all you need to do, and the fastest solution.

I'm not sure about using two different copies of the same viewer with different settings. You my be able to edit preference files and do that. If you have both the regular viewer and the Release Candidate installed, they each keep their own settings.
