AOL blocking SL ?

I have been with AOL for years , I know lots of people slate them ... but for me ... I never have any issue with them ..allways a good strong connection .....I connect without using that resorce hogging softwear they like to send out :P

but just seen this and i think it might be time to switch lol

Not sure how this would happen. In any case, I am on the east coast of the US and use AOL and am having no problems getting into Second Life or onto its website, where I am posting this reply. If it's happening, it's geographically confined.

I use computer they sold few years back and still use their free email, I haven't had issue with getting email from SL but I have problems when I joined flicker with them.
I quit using them as service provider and their software when it froze me to desktop last year.

I have used AOL for over 5 years here in the UK.I had a small Problem with SL 18 months ago and was advised to use firefox to surf and connect with .Since then All OK.

there are ways around that software and you can legally do it.

If this is dialup (dont know just guessing)

But all you have to do is create a new dial up connect and input the number it uses and then username [email]joebob@aol.com[/email] and then password and click connect. I used to get around there software just doing this.
