I've got a friend who plays at being a wizard in SL. He likes to play pranks. sometimes he"ll stand on your head. nomatter where you move, his av continues to stand on your head. he also has something that surrounds you in some kind of sparkley field that blocks you vision and sorta freezes your av. other than tp-ing out or lgging off (or reporting him :), are there any gadgets or techniques that can counteract these specific spells?

Mystitools are pretty much bomb-proof. Last I checked, they're about L$395 or thereabouts.

But on to other matters... "I put on my robe and wizard hat..."

No, Manifold. Mystitool is your defence against your wizard chum.

Oh, no, I meant that YOU can buy a Mystitool to ward off your evil wizard friend's attempts to dominate the world by standing on your head. :)

You can really impress him by sending him a million meters into the air next time he tries something.

No, they're jes pretty low end stuff. A Mysti would have some decent stuff to counter that, though.

Also, if you've asked him to knock it off, and he hasn;t, then he's not much of a friend. Jes sayin'.

For the more technically minded - the problem is actually NOT the asset server (or 'asshat' as you prefer to affectionately call it herein).

I think there is a scaled down freebie version of Mystitool too that might be fine for the job. There used to be anyway.

Have you tried telling him that it genuinely annoys you?

If you have and he carries on, give it one more shot then consider if he's worth the annoyance.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

The freebie leaves out the weapons. That might even make it a better choice for people who want a few conveniences but are afraid of fumble fingers causing trouble.

And on that note, would be a good idea to get some kind of "ok I dare ya!" or other consent in chat from the wizard before pushing back, or at least make sure he's really a friend. It would suck to get an AR filed against you for defending yourself, but that happens.
