hi:) Okay I have two plots of land that belongs to one group I own. I want to get rid of that group and sell this plots of land to myself and then deed to new group. Please tell me how I can safely do this without being double charged for the tier.

Would I do this..? Take my tier out of group A, sell land to myself, then deed to group b and add tier? Thanks.:)

First take your tier out of group A

You will get a warning but no worries as you will complete the transaction long before any problems arise from that.

Next, I would donate the tier to group B

Set the land for sale to yourself. Be extra careful to make sure you do NOT set it for sale to anyone.

Now, activate group B, go to about land and select buy for group.

Here's a link to a Knowledge Base article that may help:

That's odd. I searched the Knowledge Base for 'selling group land' and it was the second result. I copy and pasted the text below. If you have the Grease Monkey add-on for Firefox, it should look ok.

How do I reclaim land that is deeded to a group?
This article shows you how to change your land contribution from one group to another.

To avoid an unnecessary increase of land tier, remove your existing land contribution to group.
  1. Go to Edit > Groups.
  2. Select the group the land is deeded to from the Groups window.
  3. Click the Info button.
  4. Click the Land & L$ tab.
  5. Set Your Contribution to 0 sq meters.
  6. Click the OK button.
Sell the land to yourself for L$1. Be sure to specify you want to sell the land only to yourself.
  1. Right-click the land and select About Land.
  2. Click the Options tab.
  3. Set Autoreturn other resident's objects to 0 This is very important. Failure to turn off Autoreturn may result in the return of all objects on the land!
  4. Click the General tab
  5. Click the Sell Land button.
  6. Set Set a price to L$1.
  7. For the Sell the land to option, choose Specific user.
  8. Click the Select button.
  9. Enter your name into the Choose Person window.
  10. Click the Find button and select your name.
  11. Click the Select button.
  12. For the Sell the objects with the land? option, choose No, keep ownership of objects.
  13. Click the Set Land For Sale button.
  14. Right-click the land and select Buy Land.
  15. Click the Purchase button.
If desired, deed the land to a new group.
  1. Right-click the land and select About Land.
  2. Click the Set button.
  3. Select a new group for the land from the Groups window.
  4. Select the Allow Deed to Group checkbox.
  5. Select the Owner Makes Contribution With Deed checkbox.
  6. Click the Deed button.

I can see that Kathy's suggestion ("Buy for Group";) has one potential advantage over the method described in the KB article: the land is always owned by a group. If one has used all tier with the 10% group bonus included, then owning it as an individual--without that bonus--would cause a jump to the next tier level.
