I have a Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family graphics device, and am wondering if it is compatible with Second Life? This is my other PC, so I have played it on my old one, but this one experiences problems.
I looked for a list of compatible ones, but couldn't find the list. Does anyone know where this list is or know if mine is compatible?

Hi Antari, Check here: http://secondlife.com/corporate/sysreqs.phpOfficially a lot of Intel stuff is not supported, however, I know many people who run SL just fine with theirs. Hope this helps.

If you are having compatablilty issues, do try WindLight. Though its a beta, it does not seem to have as many video compatability issues (at least for me).

Just to confirm: I recently switched to a new laptop with a Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family card.
The standard client refuses to run (freezes upon login). The First Look viewer (which now incorporates Windlight) works well.

My laptop has a mobile Intel chipset, runs Windows Vista. It is terrible with the new viewer, slows to a crawl. I get better performance using 1.18.5(3) and the Nicholaz viewer BE-v.

I have an NVIDIA Quadro card, and I have more problems in Windlight than I did before. Not show-stoppers but really annoying. (and yes, I generated a JIRA about it), but it's not on the supported list so I'm not holding my breath. Try it, and see - you'll know pretty quickly if it works or not

I have a Intel 915GM chipset on a 2.0G single core, with 2G ram, running WinXP. Windlight has been a Godsend in not crashing like the standard viewer. But I fear as they get closer to combing the standard with WL, I will be in crash hell again.
