buying stuff on Xstreet

Can anyone tell me how i can buy stuff from X street?.Iv looked and iv put this nice outfit together for my avi.Now i want to buy all the pieces but i don't know how.

You can go in world and do a search on the vendor, or probably easier is to go into www.xstreetsl.com and create a user ID using your AV name. You will need to go through the process of setting up your xstreet account, including credit card. You will be instructed via email to go to an Xstreet terminal (you'll be told how to find one) and copy/paste the command and PW from the email into the terminal via local chat.

Then you set up your credit card, or you can use the terminal (using the "Pay" function) to deposit L$ into your xstreet account from your SL account. Then back to your browser, find what you want using Search on xstreetsl.com, click on "buy" and the stuff gets delivered to you in world instantly. It will be queued up if you're offline, but it works via IM so you have a chance of losing stuff if your IM's get full or you are marked "Busy".

How to start shopping in three easy steps!

Sign up for an account.

Go in-world to any terminal on the Terminal Locations page and type in open chat "signup [email]your@email.com[/email]" (replace [email]your@email.com[/email] with your actual email address). Follow the instructions in the email you receive to login for the first time.

Get some spending money or use PayPal/Credit Card.

If you want to shop using Linden Dollars, you'll need to put some Lindens in your Xstreet account. Just drop some cash into any Xstreet Terminal, or use Search in Second Life to pay the avatar "Exchange Street" and you're set.

Note 1: When you pay a Terminal, make sure it is owned by Exchange Street or SLXTerminal Bigwig -- if it is not, you are not paying a real Xstreet Terminal and your funds will be lost.
Note 2: There is often a delay for payments sent directly to Exchange Street to post to your Xstreet account. If you need access to your funds immediately, you should use a terminal.

If you want to shop using PayPal or a Credit Card, simply choose the US Dollar (USD) option when go to "buy" your item.


Shop 'till you drop!
Go to the SL Exchange Marketplace and find the perfect item. Anything you buy is delivered to you immediately in-world, even if you're not logged on!

You can even shop for all of your friends if they're registered here at SL Exchange! Just click on the "Purchase as a Gift" link and you can have the item you purchase delivered directly to a friend, complete with a personal note from you (optional) at no extra charge!

Create an account there, if you have not done that yet and log in to it.

If the stuff can be bought with US $ then you can fund your account that way -- click the 'deposit' link under 'US Balance' on the left side and then follow the instructions.

Or you can deposit L$ via an inworld Terminal. On the top, under Help, is a link for inworld Terminal Locations and you simply 'pay' the terminal money. For security reasons, please verify the terminal is owned by "Exchange Street" or "SLXTerminal Bigwig" before making a deposit.

Or buy the Remote Deposit box for L$0 (freebie) and rez it inworld. Then you can click the 'deposit' link under 'SLL Balance' on the left side and it will pull L$ from your inworld account to deposit to your Xstreet account.

I just wished when searching by merchants they would add a subsearch to that feature. I am looking for candles and want to view other types of candles the creator has made. I should be able to type candle and it would bring up candles made by this specific person.

Well this creators makes a boat load of stuff that I am not interested in. I am currently presently on page 15. I'll just wait till I get home to go visit their shop inworld.

Remember it takes about 24 hours before it releases you to buy things. I guess that is to help avoid fraud.

You are most welcome - now in CP Control- under Edit Options- further down from the email thing, there is something about allowing Private Messages - thats where you need to tick the little box - cause still can't PM you
