Hello, I am looking at buying a plot on the mainland and have found somewhere that looks ok. The land has been 'reverted' and there is nothing on it except for a small green and white metal post and platform which stretches up and over the neighbouring land. The neighbour even has a tree growing through it. Inspecting this object tells me it was Created by 'dispute Mopp' and is Owned by 'Bill Linden'. I have IM'd the owner/seller, the next door neighbour and Bill Linden asking for an explanation but have received no reply. The 'dispute' bit is what concerns me. Does anyone have any experience of this? Is it anything to worry about do you reckon? If I buy the land should I just be able to delete the object? Bill Linden where are you?! Thanks.

You can only delete that object if the root prim is on the land you are buying. If not, you will need to file a support ticket to get it moved, unless you can contact the owner of the land where the object is rooted and get them to delete it.
Bill Linden made a lot of the trees in SL. But that was a long time ago. Not sure if he is still active. In general, it's the owner of the object that can move it, not the creator. Unless the creator is a Linden.

Thanks Raymond. I haven't bought the land yet but that sounds like I will be able to delete the object when I do. I didn't want to be stuck with someone elses dispute, which was what an object created by 'dispute MOPP' sounded like! regards Moongold
