Coolest place in SL

I've just been to the coolest place in SL. lol It's an Hawain Island with free rentals (hawain huts) They're so Cute!
Anyway I'd love to have the money to own an island and have free rentals! Mine would be a mountain, log cabin type thing.....What a great way to meet people, hang out and make a ton of friends!

Hmmm....are those huts jutting out over the water of a lagoon?
If so, that place was around way back when I was a newbie collecting L$ off of moneytress *Grins* That place had one and was always full ^.^
And yes, it is totally awesome that someone cares enough to have their own island and allow free rentals (and give out L$ to newbies if the moneytree is still around ^.~)

The huts are on Docks at the base of the island.
I talked to a man there last night that said the place had only been in exsistance 3 weeks. So I dunno. lol
I didn't see a money tree but that doesn't mean there wasn't one.
Would be totally kewl to own that!

I've thought about doing this as sort of an honest alternative to camping (which I won't do). I don't care about traffic numbers -- I just like it when my place has people hanging around enjoying it, and I'm trying to bill the rentals toward people who want a social environment. Could that be what this owner is doing?

Yes Hawaii has been in SL for many years. Free huts for a short time. I do think the island has changed hands twice since 2005

good marketing ploy, if he's got spare land and can't rent it, get potential renters to try it for free, assuming he also rents better property out on the island too.

Being from hawaii in RL I was very ecstatic to find the hawaii sim in SL when I first joined, the huts seem to be always taken (Hey, theyre free!) a friend and I were lucky enough to find 2 open ones and we were noobie neighbors.. lol Lots of funny memories I had there
