Really.....what's up with the new update. I was away a few days and I popped in here and I see a few very unhappy posts about the newest update. So.....I didn't update. What exactly is going on with it? Strangely....I did go in-world briefly (didn't update, still using previous viewer) and noticed that some of the panels on my VW bus were simply missing.....or transparent. Never saw that one before! But, if I'm reading things correct....it looks like this is one of the bugs of the newest update too? Anyway......any info would be great....just want to catch up to speed here.

LMAO I chose not to respond to that.....it's just so utterly ridiculous, it's beyond absurd. Now, I will admit that I don't kill spiders...in most instances I will relocate them 'outside' the property.......except of course for those that build their webs all over my screened in patio......they get the shop-vac treatment. But that HUGE wolf spider I found last week at my sliding door....he got transplanted.....he was just too cool. I don't kill things if I don't need to. Flies, however, are nasty foul creatures that spread poop and disease. I have zero compunction about swatting a fly!

Changes I've noticed
- a bug that renders certian parts of the avatar mesh transparent. I saw an avi the other day with big patches of his face "missing".
- changes to the pie menu. Don't rely on muscle memory to detach or take off clothes. I've gone into appearance mode more times than I care to count.
- number of prims in a selected object now shows in the lower right of the top portion of the edit menu, not in the lower part in the General tab.
- new adult search filter stuff in place. To see adult content open the edit>preferences>general and specify what levels of content you want to see, then adjust check boxes in each of the search tabs as you like. (3 options in each). You have to have payment info on file or be verified to choose adult, of course, and apparently verification isn't going through for everyone.
It runs fine for me, but I think others are having some trouble.

There are roughly two pages of unresolved bugs in 1.23.4, yet they released it anyway.
Some of the worst bugs:
Avatar surface texture for lower body, upper body or head may vanish entirely, at random times, when you move the camera or make any change to appearance, requiring an avatar rebake to fix it - until it happens again. Did you know an avatar's eyes are on a seperate mesh from the head, and are on HUGE spheres? Like 3x to 4x the size of a Human eyeball? And the eyebrows are on something seperate too. Looks really gross to have just your eyeballs, hair and eyebrows showing above the neck.
Some combinations of OS and graphic cards are showing terrible frame rates - others seem fine.
Pie menus is hopelessly messed with, for no good reason.
Font used for script listings was changed, to something larger, for no reason.
You can no longer collapse the Build pallette to show only the top third. It's the whole thing, or minimize the window.
The new Search restrictions are a farce. Banned word lists simply DO NOT WORK.
There ARE a few good things:
Ability to set bulk upload permissions. You can make sure that when you import 40 textures at once, they are all set to full perms, instead of having to manually change each one after import.
Ability to change the permissions on all parts of a rezzed object, including scripts embedded many layers deep, assuming YOU have permission to change the perms of those parts.
Ability to mouseover the dots on the minimap and see the name of the avatar it represents.
Fixed an odd Windows/Nvidia glitch that might screw up the color of terrain if you resized the window SL is running in.

"The most powerful man in the world killed a fly . . ." In the context of this thread, we should be grateful that at least -someone- can squish bugs!
