I use Vista Premium, but I don't think that should make a difference. try --multiple. For me a single - works on Vista Premium, but on my old computer with XP it would not accept that, but that did accept --multiple.

No luck, this is what my "Start in" looks like "C:\Program Files (x86)\SecondLife"

Its been so long, but that is where goes, in the Start in box?

Thanks :))

Your Target should be
"C:\Program Files (x86)\SecondLife\SecondLife.exe" -multiple
(the -multiple is outside the quotes)

Your Start In is correct.

I'm not sure what you mean by Vista Pro. Do you mean Vista Home Premium? Anyway, it doesn't matter because any type of Vista you have should not cause this problem. I have Vista and frequently have 3 avatars logged in. The only thing I can possibly think of is that you should make sure you have administrative priviledges

Ok I get this mssg: The folder "C:\Program Files (x86)\SecondLife\SecondLife.exe" -multiple specified in the Start box in not valid. Make sure the folder exists and that the path is correct. Friggin vista :/

Yes it is Premium, had a flashback to xp :P

I think the "\Program Files (x86)\" is for Vista x64. With 32-bit Vista, it should just be "\Program Files\", shouldn't it?

"C:\Program Files (x86)\SecondLife\SecondLife.exe" -multiple should be in the Target box. The Start In box should just be "C:\Program Files (x86)\SecondLife".

i've had no problems changing the shortcut on windows vista home premium but another way to do it is enable your advanced menu (ctrl alt d) and changing the debug setting for AllowMultipleViewers to true.
