it's probably going to sound stupid, from the title alone. But I've been on here for a couple months on and off and I can't figure out why everything I see isn't going bold or underscoring, or linking urls x.x I see the code and the text inbetween it. It's hard on the eyes to go through some heavy-coded threads about scripting and such when every command is there. Anyway to change that? I've been through the User CP, but I can't find any toggle button ; . ; help

LL purposely disabled it like a year and a half ago, due to some security issue. They keep promising to fix it/upgrade the forums, but nothing so far.

If you're using a Mozilla-based browser, you can use Strife's Greasemonkey script here to return a lot of functionality:

The image tags work

Using IMG tags on a URL generally just makes the URL invisible for me. :(

When I tried that, it only made the links clickable and left the URL tags in place. Strife's script pretty much makes the boards behave as though BBCode was actually still enabled...not just links, but formatting as well, and no visible tags.

yeah, Strife's script works very well most of the time (it gets confused with those "url in image tags" tricks people do.

But it also makes quotes, codes, and php tags work properly, as well as all the standard bold, italics, etc.

OooooHHHhhhh. I read the sticky, but didn't fully understand the purpose of Grease Monkey, as it was beyond my veil of thought BBCode could be broken XD; thanks everyone, I'll try the Strife thing. I'm using GoogChrome, hopefully it'll work out
