When you go into preferences and go to web, I think that's where I see this, there is a box that says "accept cookies". Do we have to have that box checked in order to use SL?
Also, is there a way to reset the clock at the top of the screen? Mine is set to PDT and i just wondered if it can be reset to another time zone.
Thanks in advance Mary

cookies are used for the website, to save your info, not needed as far as I am aware, for in world use of SL
no we can not change the time (unless someone knows a way via the files of SL)
If you like, I can drop a hud clock on you (just let me know your timezone and I can set the hud clock to show your timezone)

No you don't have to accept cookies to use SL and No there isn't a way to reset the viewer clock. However, since events are all planned around the SL clock it makes a good reference.

Some places DO require that you accept cookies. (For example: the Hangout in Allana.)

No, you can't change that clock. That is for showing SL time, which is tied to Pacfic Time. All in world events and stuff are announced in SL time, so you really do need that clock, just the way it is.

Ok, events are _mostly_ planned based on the SL clock.
