Hi, Maybe you can help me, I'm using the newest Second Life viewer (Second Life 1.20.0 (84432) Apr 9 2008 03:59:09 My problem is that I have to unmark all possibilty's to log my coversations, when I unmark them and the next time I start SL. I have to unmark them again. Normally that is not the problem but I play Sl on a company laptop and I dont want that they see my conversations. Angela

Yes there are a few bugs with preferences that don't stick in RC0. If you have safe-for-work issues, it would be wiser to use the regular release client (1.19.1.4) for now.

Log in to the jira and vote for http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-6321 ... and the related mess with (not) logging chat: http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-6265. This is actually more seriously b0rked than may be evident: once one runs 1.20, it screws up the setting for earlier viewers, too (apparently a server-side setting, somehow).

From: Qie Niangao This is actually more seriously b0rked than may be evident: once one runs 1.20, it screws up the setting for earlier viewers, too (apparently a server-side setting, somehow). They changed the XML format between 1.19 and 1.20 and while 1.20 seems to be able to import 1.19's settings (kind of, see VWR-629 , 1.19 is probably choking on 1.20's. (IM logging settings specifically save to %appdata%\SecondLife\(avie name)\settings.xml and both viewers try to use that same file)
