Hi guys,

I have a texture, that I created, with full perms. I applied it to a prim, went into Edit mode, chose Select Texture, then when I went to File in my main menu, I find the Save Texture As greyed out. Has it been disabled, or am I trying to save a texture to my hard drive incorrectly. I am travelling at the moment, and i do not have the original on my laptop, so i wanted to save it to do some more work on it. Help!!

Try clearing your cache also.

Hi Rock,

I've never tried saving a Texture from the Edit Window, I always 'open' it from Inventory and then do File-Save As.

Last time I did this was last week so I can't remember if it was the 1.19RC or the previous client.

I always have to open the texture in the main window too, before being able to download

Opening the texture from inventory is the only way to save a texture to your hard drive I'm afraid. And you must have full perms to do it.

It worked yesterday for me, by opening the textures into a window.

Its either lag or you'll have to save it from your inventory.

You can't save a texture if you've applied it to a prim because it has become an object. Open the texture from inventory without applying it to anything and then you will see the option to save.

when i recently reformatted, i tried to save all my original design textures back to my computer, and was unable to.

obviously i created them, so i had full permissions. but still, no go.
