I'd like to hear experiences of people (pro or con) of them using inworld employment places to hire staff for events, clubs, etc.

Are they worthwhile in your opinion? what kind of screening process do these places use, quality of ppl they send your way? in hindsight are you glad you used these resources or not?

Thanks for any insight you can offer.

I used one as an employer...what a joke. We paid $200 for the ad placement, never got a single response whatsoever, but were notified at one point that every ad had been lost and could I please come replace it.

Needless to say, I wasn't impressed.

While this is only one example, I have a feeling more comments like this are going to be the rule rather then the exception. But we shall see.

Thanks for sharing :)

Usually the big reducer in the number of applicants are things in your add like "Must have 1 month in SL" and "Must be fluent in written English", etc.

Since people generally the first month are the ones who dont want to (or cant with these new restrictions) buy Lindens to put themselves together.

Just post an ad saying noobies encouraged to apply, no minimum account age.

You'll be swamped.

Hey .. that sounds like a good way to game the traffic system.

Ya know...as a mentor I am asked constantly where one can find employment in SL....I'd wager a bet that if ya just placed employment classifieds in search....and a few add boards in camping areas.....you'd get some play. Or.....just wear a flip title that says "IM me for employment opportunity" and go hang out at one of the camping places or a freebie area....or one of the help islands.
Or...hey...make up a business card and send it to me in-world and I'll hand it to the noobs that ask about jobs~!!! I have no problem with that.
