If the sims next yours have extreamly high script times like 18-20+ can that effect the way an sim next to it runs and cause lag?

I think that'll only happen if things are being updated quickly.. Like, if a script right on the border is rapidly changing color or size, the neighbor sim will get notified about the changes and that might drag it down a little.

Yes it can, or it might even impact a sim that's nowhere near the sim with the high script loads. Since the sims are shared 4 to a core, any sim that is having a negative impact on the processing power of the core it's on will negatively impact the other three sims running on the same core, no matter where they're located.

Mainland is 1 core per sim and 1 sim per core only. Homesteads will have other sms on the CPU core but never with mainland. |

Is there a way to determine which sims are on the same core? There used to be.. Max Case had a thing you could put on your land that would talk to his web server and tell it which sim number you were on. You could go to his web site and ask the server which other regions were also on the same sim host. Wasn't 100% - not ever region had one of these objects - but was pretty good. Doesn't seem to be around any more. _____________________
